Custom web development

# Web development for requirements no website builder can solve

I develop features, integrations and web solutions that fit into existing business processes. The focus is on maintainable code, clear responsibilities and a sensibly limited project scope.

At a glance

### Smaller improvements

usually €480–1,299

### Technologies

PHP, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Astro

### Approach

understand existing systems first

## Technology should solve a business problem

Custom development makes sense when a standard feature doesn’t fit the process, data has to be exchanged between systems or an existing website needs a targeted extension.

Before implementation, the goal, data flow, interfaces, permissions, error cases and operation are clarified. That way you don’t end up with an isolated feature that nobody can maintain reliably later.

## When this service makes sense

### An integration is missing

Data needs to be exchanged with a booking, CRM, ERP, newsletter or other third-party system.

### The standard process doesn’t fit

Forms, approvals, calculations or internal workflows need their own business logic.

### Existing code causes problems

An inherited application is slow, unstable or hard to extend and has to be understood first.

### An idea needs a solid prototype

Technical feasibility should be checked before a larger budget is committed.

## What it can include

### Technical concept

Requirements, system boundaries, data and risks are described clearly before development starts.

### API and system integration

Existing services are connected with clear error cases, logging and a controlled data flow.

### Custom features

Business logic, forms, calculations, roles or internal tools are developed to fit the process.

### Modernising existing solutions

Problematic parts can be replaced step by step without needlessly rebuilding a working system from scratch.

### Performance and stability

Bottlenecks are measured, causes narrowed down and improvements made where they matter.

### Documented handover

Access, architecture and important decisions stay traceable and transferable for your business.

## How we work together

Clear intermediate steps make technical decisions, risks and costs easy to follow.

1. Requirements Clarify the business goal, users, systems and dependencies.
2. Technical concept Define the approach, interfaces, risks and scope.
3. Implementation Develop in verifiable steps with regular check-ins.
4. Testing Check normal cases, error cases, permissions and relevant devices.
5. Operation Document, hand over and provide long-term support if needed.

## Clearly scoped small technical projects

Smaller improvements can often be delivered as a clearly defined assignment. Complex integrations, applications or longer-term development receive an individual quote.

usually €480–1,299 [Discuss your technical project](https://www.jkconcepts.at/en/web-development/#anfrage)

- Technical feasibility and scope clarified up front
- A price or reliable budget frame before work starts
- Existing infrastructure stays under your control

## Frequently asked questions

Answers to practical questions before you commission the work.

### Do you only work with WordPress?

No. WordPress and WooCommerce are important focus areas, but custom web development can also include PHP, JavaScript, TypeScript, React and API work outside a CMS. For websites with their own content management I also use Payload CMS and Astro.

### Do you take over existing code?

Yes, if access, legal use and a technically sensible starting point are possible. A takeover usually begins with an inventory or diagnosis.

### Can a small feature have a fixed price?

Yes, if the goal, dependencies and acceptance criteria are clear enough. Where the existing setup is hard to assess, a limited analysis scope is agreed first.

### Who owns the code that is developed?

The agreed project results and key accounts should remain under your control. Rights and handover are set out in the quote before the project starts.

## Sensible next steps

Related services work together, but each one can be commissioned on its own.

### Custom software for SMEs

Turn spreadsheet workflows, order management and internal processes into a lean web app.

### WordPress development

Themes, plugins, Gutenberg and custom CMS features.

### Custom CMS

Maintain website content in your own input forms – with an admin you can test before it is built.

## Tell me briefly what it is about

You will receive a personal reply with an initial assessment and the sensible next step – usually within one working day.
